The GYSH Science Writing Competition is an international competition for young science writers, organized by Global Young Scientists Hub, Inc.
Who We Are
GYSH serves students in grades 7–12 around the world. Junior and senior divisions create an age-appropriate competition experience across nine fields: biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, economics and financial technology, psychology, and environmental science. Interdisciplinary inquiry is strongly encouraged.
The competition brings the rigor of university scholarship and leading academic publishing to every stage of the writing process—from selecting a meaningful question and building a logical structure to analyzing evidence and citing sources responsibly. Participants develop practical skills in literature review, critical thinking, scientific argument, and academic communication.

Our mission is to bring a forward-looking academic perspective and rigorous review standards to young people’s science writing. We help students learn to evaluate sources, think critically, build evidence-based arguments, cite scholarship responsibly, and communicate original research ideas in the language of international academia.
